Valley of Flowers trek is famous all over the world for its beautiful flowers. The speciality of this valley is that it keeps changing its color every 15 days. Every year this valley is open for tourists from June to October. This year it has opened from 1st June, where you can plan to visit anytime till 30th October, but the months from July to August are considered the best to visit here, because during that time you can see the maximum variety of flowers here. This place is no less than heaven for nature lovers. Valley of Flowers is also included in the list of World Heritage Sites.

You can see more than 500 species of flowers

You can see more than 500 varieties of colourful flowers here. Some species of flowers are such that they are found only in this valley. The most beautiful among them is Morina Longifolia flower. However, the Brahma Kamal that blooms in the valley is the most beautiful, which has also been given the status of the state flower of Uttarakhand. Apart from flowers, this valley is also full of many rare Himalayan plants and is also a treasure trove of biodiversity. 

Fee for Valley of Flowers Trekking

The trekking fee for Indian citizens is Rs 200, while for foreign citizens it is Rs 800. Tourist guides are also available from the base camp Ghangaria for the Valley of Flowers.

Important tips related to trekking

  • Before going to Valley of Flowers, know that this trekking has to be done on foot. No vehicle facility is available here. 
  • To visit the Valley of Flowers you need to get a pass. Without it you cannot go here.
