History of Vaishno Devi Dham
It is believed that in Treta Yuga, the earth was under the threat of evil forces. The earth goddess, Bhumi, sought the help of the Trimurti to save herself. But Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati too lacked powers, after which the three united and brought Vaishno Devi to this earth. After many battles, the goddess conquered the evil and stayed on earth to protect the earth.
Basically, Mata Vaishno Devi temple is present in Katra, Jammu, where thousands of people visit the court of Mata Vaishno Devi every year. However, it is impossible for many people to reach here. Considering this, Jai’s Trust, led by its trustee Mr. J.C. Chaudhary, purchased the property in 2003 to build Mata Vaishno Devi temple at the holy place of Lord Krishna. After which they completed the construction of the huge and beautiful Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Vrindavan in May 2010.
Specialty of the temple
The specialty of this temple is the huge statue of Maa Vaishno Devi. The goddess is dressed in a red saree and is decorated with jewelry and weapons in a very grand manner. The goddess is sitting on her royal vehicle, a lion, next to her is a huge statue of Lord Hanuman, who is sitting on his knees. The best thing is that all these statues are present on the roof of the temple.
A dispensary and library have been built for the pilgrims at Vaishno Devi Dham in Vrindavan. Apart from this, there are also two dharamshalas for the devotees coming here to stay. The main hall is for meditation, and the yoga hall is next to it.
There is no entry fee to visit this temple. The temple timings are from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It is open all days of the week. The cave timings are from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The best time to visit Vaishno Devi Dham is between October to March.
Aarti timings are Mangal Aarti at 6:00 am, Shringar Aarti at 7:00 am, Bhog Aarti at 1:00 pm, Shringar Aarti at 7:00 pm and Shayan Aarti at 8:00 pm. Please note that the timings may change due to many reasons, so before going, do check the timings once.

- Mathura Junction (MTJ) is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 10 km from the temple. You can reach this temple by rickshaw or car from the train station.
- Chhatikara is a popular tourist spot in Vrindavan. Auto fares are not much; you can get a rickshaw from Mathura for Rs. 30.
- If you are going from Delhi, you can take a bus or a private cab according to your budget and choice. The bus fare from Delhi is not more than Rs 200 per passenger.
