This beautiful garden situated in the lap of Jabarwan mountain range of Srinagar has more than 1.5 million tulips of about 68 varieties and different colors. The special thing about Khas Garden is that the famous Dal Lake of Srinagar is also visible from here. Talking about the design of this garden, the whole garden has been made in a terraced manner on sloping ground. Apart from tulips, other species of flowers are also present here, including daffodils, hyacinths and ranunculus.

The park was opened in the year 2007

According to Srinagar Tourism, this famous garden of the state was opened in the year 2007 with the aim of promoting floriculture and tourism in the Kashmir Valley. There are seven terraces in this terraced garden built on sloping ground. It also hosts a Tulip Festival every year at the beginning of spring, with the aim of showcasing the range of flowers in the garden.

Talk about reaching here, you can choose the air route, rail route or road route to reach Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden. You can get down at Srinagar International Airport or Railway Station and take a cab or taxi to Tulip Garden. Apart from Tulip Garden, there are many other places to visit in Srinagar, which include Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, Shankaracharya Temple, Hari Parbat, Baramulla etc. You can visit here from March to October.
