Gulmarg

In winters, you can come to Gulmarg and do many adventure activities on snow . In summers, the greenery of Gulmarg captivates the mind. The grasslands spread far and wide touch the heart. Maharani Temple is situated right in the middle of this place. The song ‘Jai-Jai Shiv Shankar’ was shot around this temple. You can also take the world famous Gondola (cable car) ride in Gulmarg.

Srinagar

If you come to Srinagar and do not ride a Shikara in Dal Lake, then the trip here is incomplete. While riding a Shikara here, you can shop for many things. In beautiful Srinagar, the historic Lal Chowk has many gardens and other places worth visiting.

Pahalgam

Pahalgam, famous as the ‘Valley of Shepherds’, is just 54 kilometers away from Srinagar. While going towards this beautiful valley situated between high mountains, you can see saffron fields and apple orchards in the Pampore area on the way. You can buy good quality saffron from here.

Aaru Valley

Situated 12 km from Pahalgam, this place offers picture perfect views. Skiing and heli skiing can be enjoyed here in winters.

Ashmuqam Dargah

Situated in the hills near Pahalgam, this is the same dargah where the popular qawwali ‘Bhar do jholi meri’ from the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan was shot.

Betaab Valley

Located about 15 km from Pahalgam, Betaab Valley captivates the mind with its spectacular green scenery, dense forests and high mountains. Many adventure activities including horse riding, trekking , camping can be enjoyed here. Earlier the name of this valley was Hagun, but after the shooting of the superhit film Betaab, it was named Betaab Valley.

Kashmir is a place worth visiting throughout the year, as every season has a different view. However, avoid going there during monsoon.
