Ticket booking for Kedarnath will start on IRCTC website from April 8. According to official information, helicopter ticket booking for Shri Kedarnath Dham and Shri Hemkund Sahib will open on IRCTC Heli Yatra website (heliyatra.irctc.co.in) from 12:00 noon on April 8, 2025 for journeys from May 2 to May 31, 2025.
What is the timing of the helicopter?
The first flight to Kedarnath departs from Phata at 6:50 am and reaches Kedarnath at 7:00 am. After which the flight time from Kedarnath to return to Phata is till 12:40 pm and then the helicopter reaches Phata at 12:50 pm. The distance from Phata to Kedarnath is covered in just 10 minutes by helicopter. However, sometimes the time is also changed due to weather.
Helicopter fares increased by 5% this year
According to official information, this year the ticket prices have been increased by 5% for all the pilgrims who book helicopter tickets. The fare per passenger for to and fro is as follows:-
From Sirsi to Kedarnath – Rs 6061
From Phata to Kedarnath – Rs 6063
From Guptkashi to Kedarnath – Rs 8533
Register for Kedarnath Yatra before booking the helicopter
All the devotees who are going to book a helicopter, let them know that their booking will be possible only when they have completed the registration process for the pilgrimage to Kedarnath. It is mandatory to complete the Kedarnath Yatra registration process. You can register online through the official portal or with the help of travel agencies. Let us tell you, to register, the process can be completed through Aadhar card by visiting the official website registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in.

– First of all, you have to go to IRCTC Heliyatra website heliyatra.irctc.co.in.
– After this, sign up or log in with IRCTC account credentials.
– Then enter your Char Dham Yatra registration number or group ID.
– After this, select flying dates, helipad option, time slot and aviation company.
– Now complete the verification process using OTP (one-time password).
– After this, make payment for ticket booking and confirm the booking confirmation.
– Now download your ticket and keep a printed copy of it with you.
