Chaitra Navratri is starting from today. This festival will end on 6th April. The holy festival of Navratri lasts for nine days. However, this year this festival will be of eight days only. Kalkaji Mata Temple

During Navratri, do visit the Kalkaji Temple in Delhi’s Kalkaji. It is one of the oldest temples in the capital. Its history is said to be from the Mahabharata era. It is said that during the reign of King Yudhishthira, Lord Krishna and the Pandavas themselves worshipped Goddess Kali in this temple. This is a temple whose doors remain open even during solar and lunar eclipses. This temple remains open from 4 am to 11.30 pm. The doors are closed only for a short while in between. 

Jhandewala Temple

Jhandewala Mandir is dedicated to Maa Adi Shakti. Although there is a crowd of devotees here every day, but during the days of Navratri, there is a lot of crowd here. This temple is located in Karol Bagh. Its biggest specialty during Navratri is the morning aarti which takes place at 4 in the morning. The evening aarti takes place at 7 o’clock. 

Kalibari Temple

Kalibari temple is situated near Gol Market in Delhi. This temple is very popular. This temple was built in 1930. On the occasion of Navratri, a huge crowd of devotees can be seen here. 

Katyayani Mata Temple

Located in Chhatarpur, Delhi, this temple is dedicated to Maa Katyayani Devi. Maa Katyayani is one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. During Navratri, a large number of people flock here for darshan. Grand aarti is performed here in the morning and evening.
