History of Vaishno Devi Dham

It is believed that in Treta Yuga, the earth was under the threat of evil forces. The earth goddess, Bhumi, sought the help of the Trimurti to save herself. But Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati too lacked powers, after which the three united and brought Vaishno Devi to this earth. After many battles, the goddess conquered the evil and stayed on earth to protect the earth.

Basically, Mata Vaishno Devi temple is present in Katra, Jammu, where thousands of people visit the court of Mata Vaishno Devi every year. However, it is impossible for many people to reach here.
