Uttar Pradesh tops the list with 745 heritage sites closed. The second number is Karnataka, where 506 heritage sites have been closed. Number three is Tamil Nadu where 413 heritage sites have been closed.
Taj Mahal leads in terms of earnings

In 2018-2019, the Taj Mahal had a revenue of 289 crores. While 6 crore was earned from online ticket sale. The Taj Mahal in Agra is the highest grossing of 116 heritage sites. Between this, 68 lakh people came to see the Taj Mahal. At the same time, a total of 64 lakh people had come to visit the Taj Mahal in 2017-2018, a total of 56 crores were earned from them.
Agra Fort is also not far behind
A total of 24 lakh people visited it during 2018-2019, earning the Agra Fort 35 crores. At the same time, a total of 35 lakh people came to see the Red Fort of Delhi during 2018-2019, which earned an income of 21 crores. However, 29 lakh people came to see the Qutub Minar, earning a total of 26 crores.
Taj Mahal is closing for the fourth time
This is the fourth time the Taj Mahal has to be closed. It was first closed during the Second World War in 1942, secondly in 1971 due to the war between India and Pakistan. The Taj Mahal was closed for the third time due to floods in Agra in 1978 and is now closed due to corona in 2020.
The economy has a bad effect
The closure of tourist destinations has left one lakh 50 thousand people unemployed, including guides, rickshaw pullers and shopkeepers. They have become unemployed due to the spread of Corona virus. At the same time, there are 2 thousand guides in Agra who earn from one thousand to 5 thousand daily, currently they have also become unemployed. This virus has taken away the livelihood of many people and has affected the economy badly.
All the monuments in Rajasthan are also closed. Where millions of tourists come from abroad, who visit places like Hawa Mahal, Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Ajmer Dargah, Pushkar etc. But the state government has closed all public places till 30 March. This has negatively impacted the economy.
