This video is about my recent trip to this adventurous place Solang Valley which is located near Manali, Himachal Pradesh. I sighted extreme change in weather from sunny to literally pouring snow.
One of the most beautiful places in India at the himalayan foothills of Himachal Pradesh ! Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town also. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. Solang valley is also known as the ‘Snow Valley,’ which is famous for hosting various winter adventure sports like skiing, parachuting, paragliding, trekking, and mountaineering. This dazzling valley is one of the most picturesque sights in Manali and is located at an average altitude of 2,560 meters above sea level.
Rope-way, Solang Valley, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India: One of the most favorite tourist destination in Manali, Himachal Pradesh is Solang Valley. Popularity of Solang Valley is mainly due to various adventurous sports activities like paragliding, skiing, zorbing, mountain biking and the spectacular rope way.
The rope way takes you to Mount Phatru at an elevation of 3200 meter (10,500 feet). During the journey you will get an enchanting views of snow capped mountains, thick conifer forest, lush green meadows and a meandering river.
The rope way is built by Poma of France. It has 19 cabins. Each cabin can accommodate 8 persons and covered with glasses that protects you from Ultra-Violet Rays. It has attachments to facilitate skiers and their equipment and easily accommodates all adventure sports gear for summer sports like paragliding and mountain biking.
Solang Valley is located at distance of 12 km from Manali in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh in India.
